Go shopping for a nice block of WRAPPED (heed warning - wrapped contains the mess!) perfumed soap and begin the sticking of the pins! Not only will this bring a little fragrance to your work area, you "lubricate" the pins with the soap, enabling them to slip into your fabric like butter.
